Lavender Festival Today

Rows of blooming lavender, house-made lavender soaps, lavender lemonade made from scratch.

Sound good? You’re in luck.
The annual Lavender Festival in Stone Bluff at Lavender Hill Farm started this morning at 9 and runs until 4 this afternoon. There will be lots of lavender goods to sniff and fondle, yummy food and entertainment. I can’t find the price of admission and the line at Lavender Hill Farm has been busy for a half hour now (“Don’t bother us, we’re sniffing!”), but the lavender and wine festival last year was $5 for adults and free for kids younger than 12. So, you might want to bring a spot of cash on the road to Stone Bluff.
Start the beautiful drive to Lavender Hill Farm by following Memorial south through Bixby. Take the curve to the left (HWY 64). Follow 64 through Leonard to Stone Bluff and turn left at the Stone Bluff Baptist Church. Take that road a little more than a mile and a half. Lavender Hill Farm will be on the right.

Darn it! I wish I would have known about this sooner. We went to a similar event in Fredericksburg, Texas last year and loved it.
