How to Be a Work-at-Home Mom
Posted by Tasha on October 10th, 2009 in Uncategorized

I’ve been a work-at-home mom for the past two years, and let me be the first to tell you: It ain’t an easy gig.
To all you moms who find out how I spend my days – juggling work and caring for a 19-month-old boy and a husband who works full time and attends night classes at Oklahoma State – and wax poetic about how much you’d love to be able to work from home so you could spend more time with your kids, I say, walk a mile in my shoes. That way, when you are still talking about how much easier and serene my life seems than your work-outside-the-home-mom life, you’ll be a mile away, and you’ll have my shoes.

I am 100% with you, sister. I've been working from home since the birth of Eva nearly 3 years ago. My old in-office coworkers seem to think that I have it super easy. They never seem to notice that the timestamps on my emails to them are almost always after midnight!
