What I Did On My Spring Break: Day Five
Posted by Tasha on March 21st, 2010 in Uncategorized
Sometimes, especially on extended breaks from school, it’s nice to just stick close to the house.
And watched birds in the trees.
Look at my Meme’s hands. I’ve always loved them. They’re dainty and tiny, but they’re really, really strong. They can open any and every stuck apple butter jar there is. They can also do intricate embroidery and quilt a consistent 12 stitches to an inch.
If you’ve ever tried to cram three stitches into a quarter inch, and then do the same thing in the next quarter inch and in the next and the next, you know those are some mad skills.
We also played in the weeds.
And skipped rocks.
Front walkways do well in the absence of ponds.
It’s been really nice to spend time with the ones I love.
Of course, dimples make the job somewhat easier.
