That’s How I Roll: Erin Sees Tulsa

I’m thinking that one sure fire way to beat this oppressive, smothering heat is to stay inside and drink beer.
And what better place to do that than the bowling alley?
Tulsa is home to many bowling alleys, and the rumor is that a new one is going in downtown, which of course thrills my heart. But until then, you can always kick it at Andy B’s in south Tulsa, like we did recently.
I will warn you, though, the bowling alley might just inspire the heck out of you. The splashes of color are certainly something for the eye to take in.
I’ve always wanted to be a bowling ball, at least once. How freeing would it be to go crashing into something with the sole purpose of knocking it down? I mean, to do that and be guilt free.
You know.
Of course, I’d want to be a green one. But that’s just how I roll.
Ha! I crack myself up.
Remember back when bowling alleys were dark and dreary and full of smoke? Not so, not anymore.
Now they even give you oranges for your beer.
Fancy!
And when you start beating everyone so badly that you get bored, just look around and start snapping. You never know what might inspire you.
For me, it was the shapes.
And the lines.
And the people.
And don’t forget the candy! I mean, the color. Did I say candy?
I definitely meant color.
What’s your formula for staying cool this summer?
