The Melting Pot at Riverwalk Crossing in Jenks

Especially if you haven’t had your morning cup-o-joe, this Monday morning might feel like any other Monday morning.

But, it’s not. It’s the Monday of the first-ever Oklahoma Blogging Week, a statewide celebration of blogging in the Sooner state.

And we Tulsans are gonna celebrate in style.

This Thursday evening we’re meeting at The Melting Pot at Riverwalk Crossing for a blogtastic, bloggy meetup. Put this info into your calendar:

Oklahoma Blogging Week: Tulsa Meetup
When: 6:30-8:30pm
Where: The Melting Pot, 300 Riverwalk Terrace at the Riverwalk Crossing in Jenks
RSVP HERE

The Deets

At this event you’ll get:

  • Free appetizers courtesy of Oklahoma Prosperity Project
  • The opportunity to meet and learn from dozens of Tulsa-area bloggers
  • A bit from me about the state and the importance of blogging in Oklahoma
  • The chance to give an elevator-style presentation about you and your blog (see info about sign-ups below)
  • Your name in a directory of local blogs that goes home with everyone at the event (see info about this below).
  • A ton of new blogs to add to your feed reader. Which is like crack for bloggers. Finding new blogs to read makes us see and do crazy and hilarious things.

That’s a lot of goodness, right? Add to that some fun door prizes and free admission and you’ve got yourself one hell of a party.

You and Your Blog, Front and Center

If you’d like to give a short talk – between 30 seconds and one minute – about you and what your blog is all about at this meetup, sign up by sending me an e-mail. Put “Blog Talk” in the subject line and I’ll make sure to get you on the list of speakers.

You’ll also be at the top of the directory of local blogs that will go home in the hands of all attendees.

You’ll also discover local blogs – really great ones – that you never knew existed. Cool, right?

Tulsa Blog Directory, Oklahoma Blogging Week Edition

Want your blog address and tagline in the hands of dozens of other local bloggers? All you have to do is RSVP to this event.

Easy, right? That it’s free and comes with free food is just a bonus. But, it’s the kind of bonus like having a Slip ‘n’ Slide and a mega-sized bottle of Dawn just show up at your birthday party. It makes everything exponentially more awesome.

RSVP is the Key

BE SURE TO RSVP HERE to get your admission ticket for the event. Reserving a ticket is also the only way to get your blog and tagline into the hands of local bloggers in the directory.

I want to shout about you and your blog from the rooftops anyway; by attending this event and making yourself known, you’re just making my job easier. And trust me, I love easy.

And again, this event is free, but I’m gonna ask for your ticket when you arrive so that random weirdos aren’t crashing our event and stealing our delicious Melting Pot noshes.

Plus, and I repeat, signing up for a ticket is the only way to get into that directory of local blogs that goes home in the hands of each and every attendee.

Cool? Cool. Leave any questions or concerns in the comments.

And don’t forget to share the news about this event with your blogging friends and your blog curious friends alike. All are welcome to reserve a ticket.

You can also think about it this way: The more bloggers and bloggers-to-be we invite, the larger the potential audience for your presentation about your fabulous Oklahoma blog.

Until Thursday, happy blogging, and happy Oklahoma Blogging Week!

If you’re a local blogger or business and are interested in contributing swag for this meetup, e-mail me.

Thanks is due to Oklahoma Blogging Week sponsors Oklahoma Prosperity Project and Jessical Miller-Merrell at Xceptional HR, and to our host for the Tulsa meetup, The Melting Pot in Jenks. You guys rule.

%*(#*(*&@!!! I missed this announcement and won’t be able to make it because we made plans for the fair on Thursday. Sounds like a great opportunity and lots of fun. I can’t tell you how sorry I am to miss this one.
