Oklahoma Blogging Week: Links From the Tulsa Meetup

Oklahoma Blogging Week

Before I post this week’s round up of links to Tulsa blog posts worthy of your Sunday night Internet ogling, I wanted to send my thanks again to Oklahoma Prosperity Project, Jessica at Xceptional HR and Becky at The Melting Pot for making the Tulsa meetup during the first-ever Oklahoma Blogging Week a success.

And for the snacks. The snacks were good…real good.

And thanks so much to the dozens of bloggers who took the time to come out and party in the way only bloggers can – while sipping a strong drink and blinking into the sunlight.

Ha! That “while sipping a strong drink and blinking into the sunlight” thing is totally, completely untrue. Except when it comes to me. Sipping a strong drink and blinking into the sunlight is a way of life for me, the one who orders a Barbie dress cake for her 27th birthday and allows her child to eat one-pound cinnamon rolls face-first in public and takes photos of herself in dressing rooms and then posts them to the Internet.

But, whatever. My mommy thinks I’m special.

At any rate, it was a pleasure to meet those of you who were new to the blogger meetup group, and I enjoyed hanging out with my long-time blogging buddies, too.

One of the freebies available at the meetup was a local blog directory, complete with the blog name and URL of each person who RSVP’d to the event. On the way home from The Melting Pot Thursday night I thought to myself, “Gee, it’d sure be a shame to not to share such a beefy list with my readers, who, judging by the number of questions I get each month on the topic, are just dying for links to more local blogs.”
