Are you ready for another installment of Tulsa Blogger Meetup? Because I sure am.
This month’s Tulsa Blogger Meetup will offer insider tips and tricks for search engine optimization.
What the heck is search engine optimization, you ask? Here’s a definition I heard once that I like: It’s the process of connecting your blog to searchers using engines like Google, Bing or Yahoo! who are looking for the information you provide on your site.
The info will be tailored specifically for bloggers, thanks to the expertise of Tulsa-based social media consultant, professional blogger and nationally-recognized speaker Melanie Nelson.
What I love about Melanie is this: First, she’s smart. Second, she’s not a fake. Third, she has a way of dispensing complex, up-to-date information on what’s going on in social media in a way that’s accessible and easy to implement.
Whether you’re looking to increase the conversion rates of visitors to your blog to repeat customers or you simply like the idea of more eyeballs poring over your online diary, SEO can help. If you’re new to Tulsa Blogger Meetup, here’s the gist of what we’re about: About once each month we gather at a different Tulsa locale to either talk blogging, simply enjoy each others’ company or experience something new and uniquely Tulsa. So far we’ve been found at restaurants and bars like Joe Momma’s, Blue Dome Diner, Siegi’s Sausage Factory and Fassler Hall; we’ve also hit Philbrook Museum of Art and the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for an exclusive performance by Tulsa Opera.
We’re always up to something, and everyone from the professional blogger to the blog curious is welcome to join us.
